Day hikes with stunning views and the high challenge course are what's in store for WHEELS students today. It is crisp and sunny with nary a cloud in the sky. Students are starting to take more responsibility for things like navigation, cooking, cleaning and group decisions with their instructors' guidance. Students work together with their instructors to make and take small group challenges that will move them from training to main to final. (see last weeks post for more information)
All crews are navigating their way to the high challenge course, the boot barn and to their day hike destination. This is a very empowering experience that can be transferred back to home life and school. For parents, you can expect your children to be helping you find your way around the city and on family trips, for they will know the basics of map reading.
