BELHS: Day 2 High Challenge Course

"A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to it's old dimensions."
Oliver Wendell Holmes

The High Challenge Course was visited by Ms. Morehouse and Ms. Sims/Tran's crews today. Students taught each other how to put on their harnesses, to wear climbing helmets and to tie figure eight follow through knots. Ms. Sims crew also learned how to belay each other, the most supreme form of trust in the world of climbing. The word belay is French to 'hold fast.' Each student was taught these skills by their instructors, then they took their new gleanings and taught one another. Students will be further empowered throughout their time here at the Sharpe Reservation.
