BELHS: Backpacking and Beyond

Backpacking can be a very rewarding experience because it allows you to go places only you can go on foot. Mr. Sprinkle and Ms. Fletcher's crews combined together for one fabulous crew. They ate lunch at Pawnee Rock, which affords vistas that span the Hudson Valley and into the Catskills. We have been blessed with a gorgeous day, with sun, bold leaves and warm temperatures.

Ms. Ray's crew is en route to their final destination called Northwest Overlook. They also will be able to see for miles and miles at their campsite. It is one of my personal favorites. The stars should be out tonight for their viewing pleasure.

Ms. Leonard and Ms. Kalambay's crews will be sleeping in a forested area, called Woodlands. They will be lulled to sleep by the crickets that have come out in the warmer weather. It will be a perfect ending for a perfect day.
