Community Leaders: Main

Last night the rain lulled us to sleep and miraculously it stopped around 7 am this morning. Angela from Mr. Ahmed's crew reports that she had an "amazing" night last night. She was camping at Woodlands, one of our back country campsites
. They roasted marshmallows and told scary stories around the campfire.

Mr. Ahmed's crew is back from their expedition and will go on their solo soon. (see last weeks' post for a description of a solo) Mr. LeWinter's crew is headed to an amazing lookout for their solo. From their location, they will be able to see the Catskill Mountains. Mr. Kosciol's crew will also be hiking back to Camp ABC today and will do their solo en route.

Ms. Thurman's crew just set out on their expedition. There is a great photo of instructor, Sterling Wharton giving a backpack lesson. His crew's navigator for the day is also learning how to read a topographical map.

Mr. Mears crew is headed to our boot barn to get fitted for hiking boots. Ali is pictured with a walking staff he made himself.

All crews are transitioning from training to main. They are starting to get themselves ready in the morning, prep food for dinner and are making group decisions. Most crews will have their navigators guide their crew to each destination.
