McCown: High Ropes & Sunshine

We would like to welcome the principal, Traci Frey and also the sunshine to the Sharpe Reservation. 4 crews migrated down to the high ropes course earlier this morning and have been all over the place.
  • Students in Mr. Sprague's crew are learning how to climb and how to belay each other.
  • Ms. Berenston's crew sent each other up on the flying squirrel.
  • Mr. Sparnroft's crew all went on the zip line.
  • Ms. Martinez' crew are all taking a leap of faith.
I suppose this whole course is a leap of faith for all of us. For parents, it is sending their children away for 5 days. For students, it is being away from home at an unfamiliar place. For teachers, it could be leaving their comfort zone and camping. It is with these leaps of faith that we allow ourselves to trust in an experience and grow. This week is certain to be a memorable and for some a life-changing experience for all.
